With Sen. Joe Manchin's decision not to run for re-election, Lucas Kunce's Missouri’s U.S. Senate race just got even more critical.
Lucas' campaign to defeat traitor Josh Hawley was already our best opportunity to expand the Democratic Senate map in 2024. Josh Hawley is one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents running for re-election next year.
But now, with Joe Manchin's decision not to run again in West Virginia, control of the Senate is on the line -- including Supreme Court confirmations. Politico reports, "Senate Democrats’ margin of error just dropped to zero."
Lucas's campaign to take back power for everyday people is getting tons of national attention.
Here's why Lucas is running, in his own words:
"More than just banning insider trading among members of Congress and their families -- I’m running to put them in jail if they steal from us.
"More than just breaking up Big Pharma -- I’m running to prosecute the insulin cartels who are killing people.
"More than just fighting to codify protections for abortion access -- I’m running to end the filibuster so we can actually get it done.
"And more than just rejecting corporate PAC money -- I’m running to abolish corporate PACs altogether."
Multiple public polls have recently confirmed that this will be a neck-and-neck race. One just showed Lucas Kunce at 43% and Josh Hawley at 44% -- well within the margin of error. So if Lucas is able to keep up his record-breaking grassroots momentum, he really can flip this Senate seat and take back power for everyday people.
But with Republican mega-donors already spending millions to keep their grip on this seat -- and put Mitch McConnell back in charge of the Senate -- we can’t afford to take any chances.
