Fellow Young Democrats!

We are just 3 weeks away from our meeting in Arlington, Virginia and we could not be more excited to be going to Virginia now that Democrats have held onto the Senate and flipped the House of Delegates! We have some exciting announcements to make. We are solidifying our final schedule but we wanted to share with you some of our guest speakers and some of our sponsors.?

We will be welcomed by Congressman Don Beyer at our Welcome Reception on the evening of December 1st. Congressman Beyer represents Arlington in the House of Representatives, is a former Virginia Lt. Governor, former Ambassador to Switzerland and Lichtenstein, and current George Mason University student (shoutout to our College Caucus)

On the evening of Saturday Dec. 2, we will be joined by a huge lineup of great speakers, where we will be hearing from Democratic Party of Virginia Chair Susan Swecker who was first elected in 2015 and is the longest serving female chair in DPVA history and great friend to the Virginia Young Democrats. She has overseen the party during our first Democratic Trifecta in almost 30 years in 2019, and helped lead the way in our victories last Tuesday.

If you want to join us, please remember these 3 key steps:

1. Register! We need you to register right now if you have not already done so. Our current rate for pre-registration is $60 but will go up to $75 if you register on site. You also need to register BEFORE NOVEMBER 17 IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A PRINTED CREDENTIAL. REGISTER HERE?

2. Make sure your travel is accounted for. As we get closer to this meeting, travel could prove to be more difficult to book so the sooner you get yours sorted out the better.

   1. If by plane: our Closest Airports are DCA (Free Shuttle to and from DCA to the DoubleTree and accessible by Metro to the Hotel, 1 Stop Away on the Blue or Yellow Line ) and Dulles (now accessible by Metro to the Hotel, Silver Line to Blue Line)

   2. If by train: Closest Amtrak Station is Union Station Downtown?

   3. If by car: Parking is available at the hotel for guests.?

3. Book your room in our room block. We have asked the hotel to set aside rooms for our members and if you are traveling to Arlington from out of town, we are requesting you book through our room block site.
