John, it’s Veterans Day, the day we honor the sacrifices and contributions made by veterans here in Sacramento County and across the nation.

It’s a time for us to recommit to the important work of caring for those who have served our country once they return home. I am proud to have helped support the PACT Act to expand health care access to over 3.5 million veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances in warzones, but there’s still more work to be done to ensure every veteran has the care they need.

I will never back down from protecting those who have served. They fought for us; we must always fight for them.
