Friends,

Happy Veterans Day! Today, we honor and recognize Americans who've made the ultimate sacrifice by serving our country. The freedoms we enjoy are only possible because of the many who have enlisted in the fight for our country. 

And while Veterans have put their lives on the line in the name of freedom and justice for all, our country has not done our part to support them in return. Many Veterans struggle with mental and physical health challenges upon returning home, and yet our healthcare system leaves them in the dust. Many also find it impossible to return to the workforce, leading to financial burdens and hardship. 

We have to do all we can to expand services for them once they're home. It's simple. Our country wouldn't be standing strong today without the brave soldiers who protect everything we stand for. 

To every Veteran who has served our country and to every family member of a Veteran, all I can say is thank you.
