Today is Veterans Day. It’s a day we unite as Americans to pay tribute to
those who have bravely answered the call to serve and safeguard our nation.

Today, we honor the memory of those we've lost and redouble our efforts to
provide the best support for those who have returned home, honoring our
responsibilities to our American heroes.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to advocate for what our veterans rightfully
deserve: to live with dignity and security. To me, that means enhanced
workforce training, reduced educational barriers, and top-tier healthcare.
Throughout the Sacramento region, our veterans continue to display unwavering
dedication to our community, serving as a resilient network of strength, hope,
and inspiration for us all. I take immense pride in representing the diverse
veteran population in Sacramento, and on this day and every day, we extend our
heartfelt gratitude for your service.
