Today, we pause to celebrate all the brave veterans who have fought for our freedom and offer our most sincere gratitude for everything they’ve done to protect the nation we call home.

Full of courage and zeal, veterans’ outstanding service have ensured protections for our everyday liberties, granting us a chance at a full and free life void of fear and danger. We could not be more grateful for their selflessness in service to our country.

Veterans make huge sacrifices for our collective safety, and we need to do more to support them and their families. That starts with better healthcare services and mental health resources, access to affordable housing, and desirable employment opportunities after leaving the service.

I hope you take some time to reflect today and appreciate any veteran in your life.
