It will take all of us — together — to make a change. Friend, you can be the one to help reduce the risk of suicide among LGBTQ young people.
Nova Bright-Williams (she/her), Head of Internal Training at The Trevor Project, provides life-saving and life-affirming training for professionals and adults to better support LGBTQ young people in our community. Like the other caring, affirming, and hard-working individuals at The Trevor Project, she shows up for young people by listening to, learning from, and affirming LGBTQ young people to enable other supportive adult allies to make the world a more welcoming place.
“I think it’s really important that we position ourselves as learners throughout our lives.” - Nova
Nova exemplifies learning from LGBTQ young people to better inform supportive practices for adult allies and communities. Launching on our social channels in early December, our newest episode of “Sharing Space" features Nova and a group of LGBTQ young people coming together to discuss how they want to be supported and ways adults can make them feel affirmed.
In the meantime, learn how your support can change the lives of LGBTQ young people through Be the One.
