John,
On December 5, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Moore v. United States, a case that could limit Congress’s ability to fairly tax corporations and the super rich, both now and in the future.
With Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Chief Justice John Roberts on the bench, who each have clear conflicts of interest relating to this case, we’re very worried about the outcome. That's why we're reaching out to you today. We need your help.
Join us in demanding that these corrupt Justices recuse themselves from Moore v. United States >>
Why should these Justices recuse themselves?
Justice Samuel Alito:
- Will profit through his stock ownership in 17 corporations if the Court strikes down the corporate repatriation tax at the center of this case.
- Accepted luxury travel valued at over $100,000 from billionaires with interest in the Court.
Justice Clarence Thomas:
- Has accepted lavish gifts and big cash payments from a small group of billionaires. At least 38 destination vacations, 26 private jet flights, six helicopter flights, yacht voyages and a dozen VIP passes to sporting events.
- His wife has accepted huge money transfers from these same billionaires, and funneled them through various non-profits.
Justice Neil Gorsuch:
- A billionaire helped him land a judgeship on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals during the George W. Bush administration over more qualified candidates, despite never serving as a judge before.
Chief Justice John Roberts:
- Holds stock in two corporations that would receive over $2 billion in tax savings if the Court strikes down the repatriation tax, giving him a clear financial incentive to decide in the Moores’ favor.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to corruption on the Supreme Court bench. We can’t continue to allow billionaires to buy the favor of Supreme Court Justices.
Justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Roberts MUST recuse themselves from Moore v. United States.
Thank you for fighting against corruption,
Democratic Values
