Friend, 

If you have a veteran in your family, I hope you’ll take some time to thank them today, because veterans make the American Dream possible! 

Yesterday, I was proud to be back at Georgia Military College to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes.

For me personally, serving our country in uniform for four decades was the honor of a lifetime. 

From Afghanistan and Iraq to Bosnia, I served with, and learned from, some of the very best our great nation has to offer. 

My story is only possible in America, and our service members’ commitment to keeping our nation free is a big reason why.

Today, and every day, we celebrate those who’ve worn the uniform and are wearing it today.
