In honor of Veterans Day, John, I wanted to take the time to recognize the incredible sacrifices, character, and patriotism of my fellow veterans and their families.
I can tell you that my time in uniform leading Americans is a source of pride. It's not lost on me that I now represent a state with the fourth-largest veteran population in the nation – nearly 800,000 strong.
That's why I've made it my mission to continue fighting for our service members, veterans, and their families. In Washington, I've fought to defend hard-earned healthcare, benefits, and VA services.
But too often, our veteran community, service members, and gold star families have had to face the possibility of a gutted VA and funding cuts to other essential services some in Congress are pushing for.
Our defense of service members, veterans, and their families should never be up for debate.
I'll never break faith with my fellow veterans. Today, and every day, I want to express my enormous thanks to service members, veterans, and their families.
