Polar bears are struggling to survive and are suffering some of the worst
impacts of the human-driven climate crisis. Their Arctic home is melting TWICE as fast as the rest of the world, and they’re quickly being pushed closer to EXTINCTION every single day.

Meanwhile, greedy fossil fuel corporations continue to exploit the Earth and
threaten the existence of this beloved glacial animal — all for the sake of profit. When Big Oil comes charging through the Arctic, it releases harmful global-warming emissions into our atmosphere and brings in toxic chemicals and waste that contaminate sensitive polar bear habitats. The massive machinery even
poses the risk of running over and crushing polar bear nursing dens or burying innocent mama bears and cubs alive under snow!

Big Oil’s dirty pollutants and environmental destruction in the Arctic are
harming polar bears, people, and the planet. We MUST demand federal action if we’re going to STOP the fossil fuel industry
from DECIMATING the Arctic — so we’re urgently calling on 4,827 more activists

[[link removed]]Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve in the Arctic is the single largest unit of
public lands in the country, spanning nearly 23 million acres! It serves as a critical habitat for migratory birds, brown bears, threatened
polar bears, walruses, and more. Preserving biodiversity and protecting this valuable wildlife are essential
parts of balancing our whole planet’s ecosystems.

And near the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, local tribes, like the Gwich’in
people, rely on a healthy Arctic ecosystem for their way of life. Arctic drilling goes against protections listed under National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) — a law that requires federal agencies to assess the environmental
effects of any proposed actions, including an evaluation of any related social
and economic impacts on nearby residents, like the Indigenous communities in the
Arctic.

Endangered Southern Beaufort polar bears. Public lands like Alaska’s National
Petroleum Reserve. Local Indigenous tribes like the Gwich’in people. The entire Arctic is under attack by the fossil fuel industry. And without stronger protections at the federal level, money-hungry Big Oil
companies will continue recklessly drilling and fracking until there’s nothing
left. We’ve still go a chance to stop this though, Friend. But it’s going to take a major grassroots coalition of environmentalists like
