Dear John,

When we first built the School Board Integrity Project, our goal was simple. We wanted to ensure that school board candidates who would uphold principles of integrity, respect, excellence, belonging, and truth could be successful against extreme candidates fueled by national money and rhetoric.

To achieve that goal, we knew we needed to work quickly and efficiently. We knew that we were organizing from behind. From candidate recruitment and training all the way to ensuring our candidates had the support they needed through Election Day, it was hard work.

Thanks to you, we're celebrating that Tuesday's election results saw over 50 of our School Board Integrity Project candidates elected to schools boards across the state! We know that their communities will be well-served with their voices at the table and offer each and every candidate our sincere congratulations.

In 96% of our candidates' districts, one or more of our School Board Integrity Project candidates were elected. This result is an unprecedented success of which we should all be proud.

Although we have so much to celebrate, we also experienced some tough losses– some by less than 20 votes. We are also proud to congratulate these candidates on their hard-fought campaigns and look forward to them continuing to serve as leaders in their communities and alongside the School Board Integrity Project.

Together, we proved without a doubt that advancing the mission and principles of the School Board Integrity Project is needed in our communities and mandated by Minnesota voters. We are already planning what is next for us in 2024 and beyond, and we look forward to your continued support on this journey.

With gratitude,

Kyrstin Schuette and the School Board Integrity Project Team
