Republicans tried to pass a bill that included cutting affordable housing programs by over $1 billion while removing protections for LGBTQI+ and people of color. Lisa spoke against this far-right legislation and how it would be a massive blow to Delawareans depending on affordable housing.
Instead, she advocated for an amendment that would address historic redlining, discrimination, and increase affordable housing. This was based on her previous bipartisan legislation – the Housing Supply and Affordability Act.
Lisa has been a fighter for affordable housing and will continue to advocate for Delawareans in the Senate. She's our best shot at defeating Republicans who want to strip Delaware of its affordable housing options and accessible transportation. And flipping the Senate would be the cherry on top of it all.
