Dear Friends of Challenge Success,
People often ask me about the top drivers for student success. They want to know what really works and what they can do in their schools and families to help young people be happy, healthy, and excited about what they are learning.
Over the past 20 years at Challenge Success, we have gathered data from hundreds of schools and over 375,000 students. We have learned that there are three interconnected components that support student success: well-being, belonging, and engagement. We know from this research and other scholars in the fields of education and psychology that we can create positive learning environments when we prioritize students’ physical and mental health, their sense of belonging, and their engagement in school.
It can be easy to focus on the struggles kids are facing these days, but the good news is – our approach works. With your support, we've witnessed incredible transformations at our partner schools and positive impacts on student, including:
As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue this vital work. Right now, we're only $100,000 away from our December 1st goal, and every dollar brings us closer to achieving our mission of partnering with school communities to elevate student voices and implement research-based, equity-centered strategies that improve student well-being, belonging, and engagement.
Will you be a part of this movement and make a gift today? Your contribution has a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of students, shaping their future and fostering positive learning environments. Together, we can continue to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
With my deepest gratitude,
Denise Pope, Ph.D.
