Oklahoma,

There is no greater debt we owe than to the men and women who put their lives on the line for our freedom. This Veterans Day, we honor Oklahoma's veterans and remember the stark truth that freedom is not free. May God bless those who served and their loved ones who have also sacrificed on our behalf. If this email was forwarded to you, you may subscribe to my e-newsletter here.

Our veterans are one percent of the population who represent 100 percent of our freedom. Click here to view my video message to our veterans.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers are often the difference between life and death in rural Oklahoma. I had the opportunity to meet with the American Ambulance Association's EMS Stars of Life award recipients in D.C. This award honors members of the EMS workforce who have performed extraordinary actions to support their communities. Thank you to our EMS Stars of Life and to all the EMS professionals across Oklahoma for the great work you do to support our communities.

This week, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) held their annual wreath-laying ceremony at the gravesite of President John F. Kennedy to honor President Kennedy’s contributions to the Army Special Forces. It was President Kennedy who authorized the “Green Beret” as the official headgear of the U.S. Army Special Forces, and these Unconventional Warriors were thereafter known as “The Green Berets.” I was honored to attend this special ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery alongside Gold Star families, members of the Kennedy family, and military leaders. Today and every day, we are eternally grateful to the 6,775 active duty Green Berets and 1,306 more in the National Guard who protect and serve our nation.

Visiting our veterans on the Great Deer Hunt in Miami, OK is one of my favorite fall traditions. The Great Deer Hunt is a weekend for our disabled veterans to take a break from everyday life and get out into nature through participation in a guided deer hunt. It’s a time for rest and restoration. Last weekend, I had the honor of visiting this year’s crew and saying a few words of gratitude for their service. Thank you to Jack Dalrymple and River Bottom Sportsman for hosting this weekend of fellowship.

Connectivity is vital to the health and well-being of all Oklahomans. I am thrilled to announce that Choctaw, Bryant, Muskogee, Sequoyah, Carter, Johnston, Murray, Pontotoc, and Seminole counties are recipients of United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development Grant. These grants, totaling over $80 million, will ensure tens of thousands of Oklahomans will have access to broadband who previously went without. This investment will directly benefit our Tribes, rural and telehealth providers, small businesses, farmers and ranchers, and our schools.

The only way the U.S. can counter Iran is using peace through strength. The Biden administration must reject calls from a growing number of Democrats for a ceasefire. I discussed the importance of this on Newsmax this week. Watch here

November is National Adoption Month. This week, I penned a 'Mullin It Over' column on the blessing of adoption and our family's experience here. Check it out!
