Visiting our veterans on the Great Deer Hunt in Miami, OK is one of my favorite fall traditions. The Great Deer Hunt is a weekend for our disabled veterans to take a break from everyday life and get out into nature through participation in a guided deer hunt. It’s a time for rest and restoration. Last weekend, I had the honor of visiting this year’s crew and saying a few words of gratitude for their service. Thank you to Jack Dalrymple and River Bottom Sportsman for hosting this weekend of fellowship.
Connectivity is vital to the health and well-being of all Oklahomans. I am thrilled to announce that Choctaw, Bryant, Muskogee, Sequoyah, Carter, Johnston, Murray, Pontotoc, and Seminole counties are recipients of United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development Grant. These grants, totaling over $80 million, will ensure tens of thousands of Oklahomans will have access to broadband who previously went without. This investment will directly benefit our Tribes, rural and telehealth providers, small businesses, farmers and ranchers, and our schools.
