Happy Veterans Month, team!
This is a time for us to show appreciation for all Americans who served our country — and it’s also a good time to recommit to ensuring our veterans have everything they need to succeed in their civilian lives.
That’s why I want to introduce you to an organization near and dear to my heart: Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA).
IAVA’s mission is to support and empower America’s newest generation of veterans. They provide life-saving, personalized support and advocate for veterans in Washington and beyond.
They rely on grassroots funding to support their critical programs, and I’m hoping in honor of Veterans Month, you’ll join me in chipping in what you can to support IAVA’s work.
Swearing the oath to defend our Constitution, and wearing the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor of the U.S. Marines was one of the greatest honors of my life, and it isn’t something I’ve ever taken lightly.
It’s powerful to know the same is true for all brave Americans who serve our country — and each one of them deserves to know their sacrifices will be honored with support from their government and their fellow Americans.
Since its founding in 2004, IAVA has led the fight to ensure America’s newest generation of veterans is supported to survive and thrive in their post-service lives.
Their work to elevate and empower the voices of my fellow post-9/11 veterans is personal to me, and I hope you'll consider making a donation to support IAVA’s work, especially today. Every donation goes directly to helping fund their much-needed advocacy.
Thank you,
Amy
