Leslie Odom Jr. returns to Broadway for the first time since his Tony
Award-winning performance in Hamilton! Purlie Victorious: A
Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch is the rousing,
laugh-filled comedy by Kennedy Center honoree Ossie Davis that tells
the story of a Black preacher's machinations to reclaim his
inheritance and win back his church, despite the community's difficult
relationships with neighboring whites. Directed by Tony Award winner
Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun, Fences, Topdog/Underdog), this
inspiring and delightful comedic masterpiece became the source
material for the beloved hit musical, Purlie.

Hershey Felder as George Gershwin Alone
Monday, December 4, 7:30 pm ET

The Town Hall

123 West 43rd Street
New York, NY

Twenty-two years ago, George Gershwin Alone premiered at the Helen
Hayes Theatre in New York. For one night only and with 100% of all
proceeds being donated to the Entertainment Community Fund, Hershey
Felder returns to the show that started it all to bid farewell to this
beloved character and his music that has been shared for over 3,000
performances in more than 100 venues worldwide.

George Gershwin Alone tells the story of America's great
composer, who with the groundbreaking "A Rhapsody in
Blue," made a "Lady out of Jazz." Featuring a full
performance of the Rhapsody as well as some of the composer's most
beloved songs from "Summertime," to "The Man I Love," "'S Wonderful,"
"Someone To Watch Over Me," "Embraceable You" and "Swanee," this
promises to be an evening to remember. As is tradition, during the
encore, the audience gets to join in re-creating an old-fashioned
Gershwin soiree.
