Wednesday was the third GOP presidential debate, showcasing five candidates: former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.).

Thousands evacuated Northern Gaza while fighting intensifies

The Israeli military said they took control of a Hamas outpost in Jabalia in Northern Gaza after ten hours of fighting.

The Rafah border crossing is closed, but Israel has reopened an evacuation road that enables residents to move southwards from northern Gaza.

How do you feel about the U.S. response so far?

SAG-AFTRA strike ends, members to vote on deal

After 118 days, the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. The union reached a deal for a new contract with entertainment companies, including increased compensation for streaming shows and films, better healthcare services, concessions from studios on self-taped auditions, and guarantees that AI will not be used to create digital replicas of actors without approval and payment.

Hate crimes grow worldwide in response to Israel-Gaza War

Paul Kessler, a 69-year-old Jewish man in California, died when he hit his head during a clash between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Authorities have said the incident was isolated but have not ruled out the possibility of a hate crime.

How do you feel about the global response?

BILL: Should we fund Israel's defense? - Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024 - H.R.6126

This bill allows for $14.3 billion in emergency supplemental appropriations to assist Israel in responding to the Hamas attacks for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024. This is the first major legislative action under new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (La.).
