Earlier this week, I teamed up with Senator Elizabeth Warren to introduce a gun violence prevention bill we call the AMMO Act.

The AMMO Act restricts bulk sales of ammunition across the country. It makes sure that retailers who are selling ammunition have the same federal licensing as those who are selling guns. And it makes sure that people who are buying ammunition go through a background check.

Despite the gun violence epidemic our country faces, right now there are no federal restrictions on the sale of ammunition. The AMMO Act will change that.

Gun violence is a uniquely American problem. Thousands of people across the country lose their lives to gun violence every year, yet conservatives in Congress continue to do absolutely nothing to prevent the loss of life.
