The latest border numbers are a stark reminder: the situation at our southern border is a national security and humanitarian crisis.
In just September alone, almost 270,000 illegal aliens crossed our border with Mexico, but even more alarming, we now know that the Biden Border Crisis has set another new record: over 3 million migrants entered our country illegally in fiscal year 2023.
And Friend, that means that over 8 million illegal immigrants have arrived in the United States since Joe Biden entered office and threw open the flood gates -- subjecting our country to outrageous costs and threats.
Over the past year -- among the millions who have entered our country illegally at our southern border during the ongoing Biden Border Crisis -- border patrol agents have encountered over 150 known terrorists.
That’s known terrorists, Friend -- there’s no telling how many others have breached our border and could already be here.
This makes the passing and signing into law of The Secure the Border Act, which I introduced in the Senate along with Senator Ted Cruz even more critical.
It’s time to advance this desperately needed legislation in the Senate so Joe Biden knows the American people expect him to SIGN and finally uphold his responsibility to defend our borders and our citizens.
Friend, The Secure the Border Act will mandate completion of President Trump’s border wall which was canceled by Joe Biden, tighten standards for asylum seekers, defund private organizations helping illegal immigrants enter the country, expand the number of Border Patrol agents, and ban the Biden Department of Homeland Security’s “illegal alien resettlement” app.
