Everything – everything – just changed in our movement to ban assault weapons.


FIRST: In 2022, a gunman with an assault weapon opened fire on a family Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, IL, slaughtering six people and wounding dozens more.

THEN: Survivors and advocates stood up in record numbers and PASSED a historic assault weapons ban in Illinois.

NOW: MSNBC just reported that the Illinois Assault Weapons Ban was UPHELD in court, despite relentless campaigning from the gun lobby to tear it down.

This is a massive victory for our movement to ban assault weapons nationwide.


But our communities won’t be safe until assault weapons are banned in EVERY single state.

Just last week we told you about the gun lobby’s plans to bring down California’s ban on assault weapons. Now they’re coming for Illinois’ ban too. We can’t overstate exactly how dire things are right now. That’s why we’re calling on 500 gun safety champions to join us before midnight to help shut down the gun lobby’s plots.
