Voters in House District 52B (Mendota Heights Precincts 2, 3, 4 and 5) are asked to go to the polls to select candidates for the Special Election, taking place Dec. 5.
Nov. 8-15 - Early/Absentee Voting Period Vote by mail, drop box or in-person at City Hall
Nov. 10 - Veterans Day Observed No in-person voting at City Hall
Nov. 11 - Saturday Voting Hours In-person voting at City Hall; 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Nov. 16 - Primary Election Day Vote at Precincts 2-5;?7 a.m.-8 p.m. Drop early/absentee ballots in City Hall drop box by 8 p.m. No in-person voting at City Hall.

The City Budget
Setting the City ?s annual budget is an important initiative for the City Council each year. The process involves identifying priorities and ensuring funds are spent efficiently, responsibly and strategically.?
The City Council adopted a preliminary tax levy in September 2023. This is done in advance of the final vote to approve the budget this upcoming December, giving taxpayers an opportunity to provide input.?
The public can provide feedback on the preliminary budget by sharing public comment at a City Council meeting or by emailing Council members or city staff. The City Council will vote on the final budget at their December 7 meeting.

Tree of the Month: Eastern White Pine
The Eastern White Pine is a native conifer tree species in the Pine Family. Its native range includes southeastern Canada to the southeastern United States. The Eastern White Pine can grow up to a height of 80 feet and 40 feet wide, and is the largest of the northeastern conifers.?In Mendota Heights, Eastern White Pine make up 4.2% of the total Tree Canopy Area.
