96 A Message from the ChairwomanA Historic Week
Friends,
This
has been a big week for Indiana Republicans. On Tuesday, we wrapped up
another municipal election cycle by flipping fourteen mayors' offices
across the state leading to a new record of elected Republican mayors
statewide. While we celebrate all or our work this election cycle, none
was more historic than our victory in Marion, Indiana where Ronald
Morrell Jr. was elected the first Black Republican mayor in the state.
Ronald was one of six graduates of the Indiana Republican Diversity
Leadership Series (IRDLS) who were on the ballot on Tuesday. He and
Council Woman Elect Tiffanie Ditlevson of Fishers were both winners.
After only three years of our IRDLS, it was fantastic to have six
graduates on the ballot and two get elected. While this progress is
exciting, this is the just the beginning and the work to continue to
build and grow our party continues. As such, we are excited to announce
the [link removed] launch of applications for the
fourth class of the Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series.
Following the impressive success the program has had to date, the party
is dedicated to further advancing its mission of bolstering its growth.
This leadership initiative reflects the Indiana Republican Party's
firm commitment to genuinely engaging with minority communities and
building robust relationships. The upcoming fourth class of the Indiana
Republican Diversity Leadership Series is poised to offer a dynamic and
enriching experience for participants. Monthly meetings will cover
essential topics including civic engagement, campaign management,
strategic communications, fundraising, and state government, providing a
unique two-way learning opportunity for both class members and elected
officials.
As the [link removed] application
process begins, the party invites individuals from diverse backgrounds
and experiences to apply for this transformative journey. The
application form is available online and must be submitted by December
31st. Following the application period, interviews will be conducted,
with the selected participants for the fourth class announced in January
2024. The program is set to commence in February 2024.

this with your networks and encourage anyone interested to apply!
