It’s important to take stock of our victories, but also reflect on the bold, progressive work still ahead.
Yet another week under a Republican majority that’s deeply disconnected from the people. While Democrats defend our democracy from extremist Republicans who continue to strip away our fundamental rights, my team and I are also delivering real results for folks in the Massachusetts 7th. Take a look for yourself:
- Secured $2,000,000 in federal community project funding to improve Chelsea’s Broadway Corridor — home to an array of BIPOC-owned small businesses, vibrant public spaces, high-frequency public transit routes, and dense residential housing.
- Obtained $1,000,000 in federal funding for substance use treatment and programming at The Dimock Center in Roxbury, including Boston’s first men’s clinical stabilization program.
- Delivered $1,000,000 in federal community project funding to expand the City of Boston’s tuition-free community college program, which will help address the college affordability crisis locally while she fights for broad-based student debt cancellation.
From receiving the care and resources they need to overcome an addiction, to earning a college degree, to flipping over the “OPEN” sign on the door of a small business that’s been a dream for years — people in our district are feeling the positive change we’ve been fighting so hard for.
I take pride in everything we’ve been able to accomplish with the support of this grassroots movement. It’s important to take stock of our victories, but also reflect on the bold, progressive work still ahead.
So if you’re able, please consider making a donation of $25 or more to help push back against the disconnected Republican agenda and power our movement for the progress our communities deserve. Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward ensuring that the voices of people in the Massachusetts 7th and across the country are well-represented and our values upheld in Congress.
