Dear friend,

I know the struggles women face every day because I’ve lived them.

Before I came to Congress, I juggled being a mom of two and a full-time attorney. As managing partner of my law firm, I created its first paid maternity leave policy, for the benefit of younger lawyers because I knew firsthand the challenge of caring for a new baby while earning a living.

In 2018, I won against a field of 7 men to become one of a record number of women elected to Congress, and one of four women elected to the previously all-male Pennsylvania delegation.

Last year, I spoke in support of a bill that would help eliminate the gender pay gap. And a male colleague attempted to “mansplain” equal pay to me, insinuating I had no idea what I was talking about. Most women can relate to experiences like this. We need to do better.

In Congress, I’ve continued to be a tireless advocate for women’s rights and choices. I’ve worked to improve workplace protections for women, defend the right to choose, and support parental leave policies.

National Republicans want to undo all the progress we’ve made toward protecting women’s rights. Several of the bills I worked on are sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk, but he has refused to bring them for a vote.

Today is International Women’s Day and I’m asking for your help to keep fighting for women’s rights. Will you join me by supporting my campaign for re-election?

Susan Wild is running for Congress because she believes we can grow overall economic prosperity while still caring for the vulnerable members of our community. And she knows, now more than ever, it's working-class families that deserve a break in this economy — not big city billionaires and wealthy corporations.

But she needs your support today -- her campaign runs on grassroots donations since she's not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. If you can, consider giving anything you can to her campaign today. >>
