* Weld County Commissioners Kevin Ross, Scott James, and Mike Freeman earn a spot on the RINO Wall of Shame for their money grabbing mill levy scheme. They proposed a mill levy resolution indicating the extra money would be used solely for one thing and then tried a bait and switch that would have allowed them to use the money any way they wanted. Fortunately grassroots commissioners like Lori Saine voted it down.
* Colorado voters saw through Dem lies and said “Hell No” to Prop HH. Prompting Gov. Polis to call for a Special Legislative Session to deal with skyrocketing property taxes. GOP Chair Dave Williams encourages Republican lawmakers to demand permanent property tax reductions that don’t touch our Taxpayer Bill of Rights refunds. RINOWatchCO will be keeping a close eye on things to alert you to whatever tax con the Dems try to pull next.
* Money was raised, glasses were raised and a great time was had by all at the CO GOP’s Centennial Dinner. Speakers Kari Lake and Congresswoman Lauren Boebert energized the room and the America First enthusiasm was palpable. The successful event underlines the growing numbers and influence of grassroots Republicans. RINOs Rep. Ken Buck and Rep. Doug Lamborn were noticeably absent but not really missed.
* President Trump won the Centennial Dinner’s straw poll by a landslide, getting 87% of the vote for the 2024 Presidential Primary.
