Welcome to The Center’s RiseOut Advocacy Network! LGBTQ advocacy has never been easy and our work ahead is going to be hard. But we’re up to the challenge.

That’s why The Center joined with community leaders across New York State to develop an inclusive, people-centered plan called the RiseOut People’s Platform, which is guiding our fight for LGBTQ-affirming legislation and policies statewide.

Here’s what we’re fighting to accomplish:

	Advance Equity and Inclusion for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People
	Increase Access to Affirming Mental Health Services
	Promote Restorative Justice Principles
	Ensure LGBTQ Visibility and Affirmation
	Demand Economic Justice

But most importantly, it’s about who we’re fighting for. We’re fighting to secure equal rights for people like Pearl and Nicole who show up for fellow LGBTQ people in need. By joining in the fight, you’re helping to ensure a vibrant future for our community.
