Grandaddy left school to pick cotton and didn't learn to read or write. Mama worked 16-hour days to keep a roof over our heads. I grew up mired in poverty, with little hope for the future.
But my family taught me to have FAITH in America. Thanks to their love, God's grace, hard work and a good education, I am LIVING PROOF of the American Dream.
Getting on the stage wasn’t easy. We had to fight every step of the way. But thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we shocked the world and WON.
