My name is David, and I’m a wish granter at Make-A-Wish®. I’d like to share why this mission to grant wishes matters so deeply to me – and to all of the kids whose lives are changed by a wish.
As a father and a teacher, I can only imagine what it might be like for a parent – or a whole family – whose child is facing a critical illness. But by volunteering with Make-A-Wish, I get to be a part of something that helps kids and families forget about the challenges of their critical illness.
As a wish-granting volunteer, I help with wish discoveries. I’m part of the team that gets specifically matched with a wish kid and helps them navigate their life-changing wish experience – including helping them decide what they want their wish to be.
With a firsthand look into the wish granting process, I’ve seen just how important your generosity is in making these wishes come true. So today, I wanted to personally ask: Will you please make a gift to join me in helping grant more life-changing wishes for kids with critical illnesses? |
