Today is International Women's Day -- a day to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of women around the world.
And here at DAV, we believe there are no women more deserving of our recognition than the millions of women who have served and sacrificed for our country.
Honor women veterans today by making a special gift to DAV.

The number of women in the military has reached historic highs and continues to grow rapidly -- women make up 20 percent of all new recruits. Yet every day, in ways both large and small, women veterans still go overlooked.
From hearing thanks to the "men" who have served, to not receiving the essential health care they have earned, to sexual harassment at the VA and in the military -- the reality is that women veterans face a homecoming that is remarkably different than their male counterparts.
But DAV is dedicated to achieving equality for all veterans. And that means we must change the engrained military and veteran culture and related systems to properly serve and honor women.
We're working with Congress to pass comprehensive legislation to address the many inequities women veterans face, but we need your help to keep up the pressure. Honor women veterans today, on International Women's Day, and keep up the fight for equality by making a special donation to DAV.
