Dear Friend –
This Women’s History Month, we are flipping the script and instead of looking back, we are looking to the future—a future that is just and equal for women.
We're highlighting the voices of women change-makers around the world who are creating a brighter future for us all. These stories sometimes get overshadowed in the news cycle; that’s why we are dedicating the month to celebrating the women on the frontlines fighting for a more just and equal world. Together, we can lift each other up to achieve the future that we all want.
So, what does Women’s History Month look like to you in 2030? What will we have achieved? Who are the heroes who fought for gender equality? Is one of them you? We want to hear from you!
Post on Twitter and Facebook and use #AFuture4Women to follow along in the conversation.
Fill in the blank and then commit to realizing the future you want to see.
“By 2030, women’s equality = ____________”
As we know, across the world, women and gender-diverse people are disproportionately affected by violence, discrimination, food insecurity, and climate change—all of which drive the cycle of poverty. When we reduce gender inequality, we help humanity. Gender justice means justice for all.
Oxfam will continue to work with women to raise their voices as active citizens in their own communities, to step into leadership roles, and to speak out against harmful laws and policies. We can’t do this without you. You are so central to this progress, and there is still so much more to be done.
Let’s get to work, and together, we can use our collective influence to shape the future we want to see in the world. We are excited to walk alongside you in this journey, and offer you this “Gender Justice Jams” playlist to help fuel your energy and activism.
Onwards,
Gina Cummings
Director of Campaigns
