Six major Canadian cities have used the Housing Accelerator Fund to cut red tape and fast-track the construction of more than 100,000 homes.

By changing how cities build homes, more Canadians will be able to access housing near public transit and families can find affordable housing to raise their families in.

The Housing Accelerator Fund is just one way we’re making housing more accessible and affordable. We’ve also introduced the First Home Savings Account, which helps Canadians save up to $40,000 tax-free to put towards their first home. And by removing the federal GST on new rental constructions, homes are being built even faster.

But while we’re delivering more homes faster, Pierre Poilievre wants to increase red-tape, tax builders, and cut investments for affordable housing.
