Friend—This grassroots campaign just surpassed 2,500 donors.
That’s huge for a little community-focused campaign that raised just $20,000 in our last primary election cycle (which we won!). Having this many donors is a bigger show of strength than the fundraising totals of my opponents for this seat, who have raised more money from fewer people (and corporate PACs).
The leading fundraiser in this race has taken donations from Wells Fargo, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the California beef lobby, and countless more corporate PACs and special interests. His campaign website does not have a page where he lays out his stances on the issues (unlike my own).
In the only poll of this race so far, his 10% showing falls short of the 13% I received each of the last two primary cycles.
We can win this race; the field of corporate-funded candidates is split and this campaign has a strong base of support. But we need your help.
From the record number of anti-LGBTQIA+ bills passed in state legislatures, to statewide bans on drag and the cold-blooded murder of ally Lauri Carleton in August, this has been a strenuous year for LGBTQIA+ people and anyone who cares about human rights and dignity.
But there’s reason for hope.
The grassroots support in this campaign has been monumental. We’ve been able to fund ads, canvassing, and phone call outreach in a way this campaign never could before, even when we earned over 60,000 votes in 2022.
We’re ready to win this seat for progressive, anti-war, people-over-profits activists here in Los Angeles and across the country.
Can you pitch in now to help us get out the vote in just a few short months?
