John, I was proud to join Virginia Democrats, including State Senator-elect Russet Perry and Delegate-elect Marty Martinez, on the campaign trail ahead of election day on Tuesday. All of the hard work from candidates, organizers, and volunteers paid off -- Democrats flipped the Virginia statehouse and held the Senate, winning control of the General Assembly!

Those weren’t the only victories from election night. In Kentucky, Democratic Governor Andy Beshear won re-election and in Ohio, voters cast ballots to enshrine the right to reproductive freedom in their state constitution. Ohio continues a trend of states standing up for the right to choose in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade . Every time abortion is on the ballot, voters send a message to Republicans telling them that they are on the wrong side of this issue.
This week’s victories are a good sign for our momentum going into 2024. Voters are energized and rejecting the GOP’s MAGA agenda of abortion bans, rollbacks to climate progress, and the politicization of children’s classrooms.
We need to maintain our momentum from now until next November. The U.S. House Majority is within our reach, just like it was in Virginia. Together, we can turn it blue.
If you’re ready to keep our momentum going and continue our winning streak in 2024, head to ActBlue and make a contribution now: [link removed] [[link removed]]
