John, this race is already shaping up to be one of the most closely watched and most competitive Senate races in our nation's history – and we're still a year out from the general election. 

To build a grassroots movement that can fight all the way through Election Day, it's going to take a massive surge of early support right now. Please, can you chip in just $5 so that I'll have the resources to spread my message of a progressive future to voters everywhere?

John, I won't lie: We've got a lot of work ahead of us. With just under four months left until the primary election, this race is at a statistical tie among informed voters – which means that anything can happen in the next few months. 

The good news is that I know exactly what it's going to take to win. It's going to take knocking every door, making every phone call and running every ad we need until every voter in California has heard about my progressive vision of California's future. 

In this race, voter contact is key to victory. Especially when polls show that I'm winning over voters as they learn more about my proven record of progressive leadership. But it won't be cheap, and since I'm running a grassroots election, I'm counting on YOU – not millionaire special interests – to help power this campaign to victory.
