Earlier this week, we wrapped up yet another Election Day for the books!
Here's what went down on November 7th:

Virginia: They are the last state in the southern region without strict abortion bans – and the results of the election just gave Democrats full control of the statehouse, blocking any Republican efforts from being able to pass abortion restrictions.

Ohio: Not only did one winning ballot measure protect abortion rights, but another winning ballot measure will also legalize recreational marijuana use!

Kentucky: A twice Trump-winning state, the Democratic Governor Andy Beshear was reelected to a 2nd term. Attorney General Republican candidate Daniel Cameron (the same guy who claimed that Breonna Taylor's death was justified) lost his election for Governor.

New Jersey: There has been much debate about LGBTQ+ student rights in New Jersey – but pro-LGBTQ+ democrats not only held onto legislative majorities but expanded them.
These elections showed us a lot –
but mainly that people are paying attention to major issues and how to address them.
