Greetings!

We enjoyed dining and chatting with Renu Mukherjee of the Manhattan Institute for our second week in the Big Apple.

Renu is an expert on the political attitudes of racial and ethnic minorities in the US. She has written extensively on the ramifications of race-based affirmative action policies, particularly the recent court case involving Harvard and UNC.

Renu details alternatives to affirmative action and policy choices that we can make to achieve true diversity and success for our college students in an effort to safeguard America as a place where everyone can achieve their potential and where no one is held back or made to feel inferior because of their race.

Next week, we return to North Carolina and visit with Jim Stirling, a resident expert in election integrity at the John Locke Foundation.

Over beers and pies, Jim lets us in on the behind-the-scenes activities shaping the future of elections in North Carolina and the nation.
