The Washington Post
"Donald Trump and his allies have begun mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents should he win a second term, with the former president naming individuals he wants to investigate or prosecute and his associates drafting plans to potentially invoke the Insurrection Act on his first day in office to allow him to deploy the military against civil demonstrations."
John,
Reports that Donald Trump and his allies are planning to weaponize the Department of Justice and the United States military to settle scores and enact revenge on his political enemies are deeply disturbing and dangerous.
But it’s not surprising.
During his presidency, Trump divided our nation, mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic, incited a deadly insurrection to overturn the 2020 election, and so much more. Donald Trump has shown again and again that he is unfit for another term in the White House.
Make no mistake, John, the divisions stirred up by Donald Trump still exist. If we do not come together to reject misinformation, stand against violence and extremism, and move forward as a country, the very pillars of our democracy will be in danger. We can't let him near the White House again.
