Friend,

I don’t know about you, but I’m beaming with excitement and motivation
following this week’s elections.

Up and down the ticket voters continue to reject the extreme MAGA agenda
that has taken over the Republican Party. Here are just some of
yesterday’s victories we should all be proud of:

* In Virginia, Democrats not only held the majority in the Senate, but
FLIPPED the House, blocking the plans of Governor Glenn Youngkin to
legislate an abortion ban and advance the rest of his MAGA agenda.
Eight of our endorsed candidates, supported by radio and digital ads,
won their all-important Senate and House elections, along with a dozen
of our endorsed school board and commonwealth attorney candidates.
* In Ohio, measure 1 passed with an overwhelming majority – enshrining
the right to an abortion into the state’s constitution.
* In Kentucky, Democratic Governor Andy Beshear handily won reelection
in a deeply red state – pledging to continue fighting to make progress
on education, health care, and disaster recovery in the state.
* In Pennsylvania, Democrat Dan McCaffery won an open seat on the
state’s supreme court, preserving a Democratic majority ahead of the
crucial 2024 elections in the battleground state.
* A majority of school board candidates backed by MAGA group Mom’s for
Liberty lost in races across the country as voters rejected their
extremist and pro-censorship agenda.

These and other results confirm what we’ve always known: that progressive
values and an agenda that moves the country forward can and will result in
wins for Democrats.

Even as Republicans lick their wounds from their losses, we see them
doubling down on their unpopular, extreme, and divisive pro-MAGA agenda,
planning on taking that agenda into the 2024 elections.

And make no mistake: even as Republicans acknowledge that their agenda
doesn’t resonate with the vast majority voters, and despite whatever
attempts they may take to reframe their messaging, they’re also preparing
to further undermine the right to vote ahead of next year’s crucial
elections – because they know one of their best (and perhaps only) chances
at winning is when voters are prevented from voting and having their votes
counted.

right-wing extremists, protect our democracy, and mobilize voters across

So, take a moment to celebrate these victories – because we all worked

against the threats that Trump and the MAGA movement pose to our democracy
and our nation.
