Inspired by her great-grandmother’s words, Angela devoted her life to public service so she would not sit on the sidelines but “go farther and do better.”

She began her public service journey 13 years ago in her lifelong home of Prince George’s County, Maryland. She fought to develop new economic opportunities, improve the health, safety, and security of our communities, and strengthen our education system.

Angela is a trailblazer and has the experience to represent and lead Maryland in the Senate. She served as County Executive, Prince George's County's first full-time domestic violence prosecutor, and became the youngest and first woman to be elected Prince George’s County State’s Attorney.

If elected, Angela will make history by becoming the State’s first Black Senator and the third Black woman ever elected to the Senate.

Angela is running for Senate to be a voice for families like the ones she grew up with and has worked for throughout her life and we are going to help her cross the finish line next November.
