As if the Democratic shellacking of the GOP Tuesday night wasn't good enough, the dark money-funded hate group "Moms for Liberty" fell flat on its face in its efforts to get anti-LGBTQ and anti-reading candidates onto school boards. Moms For Liberty goons were soundly defeated in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where the group had spent an outrageous six hundred thousand f*cking dollars on a *school board election* only to see Democrats win every single seat. They lost bigly in Loudon County, Virginia, too, which had gained national attention as a central battleground in the GOP's fight against trans rights. Virginia Democrats also swept every seat in Fairfax County, where the school board had previously refused to enforce GOP Gov. Youngkin's bigoted anti-trans policies. It truly helps restore one's faith in humanity to see that, time and time again, most ordinary Americans see right through the bigoted hysteria and reject the cruelty that hate groups like Moms For Liberty have to offer.

SAG-AFTRA and Hollywood studios reach a tentative agreement to resolve the strike
After 118 days on strike, the actors' union has finally received an agreement they can accept from Hollywood's biggest studios. While details have not been released yet, union representatives voted unanimously to end their strike and — like their colleagues in the screenwriter's guild — appear to have won stricter protections against the use of artificial intelligence, higher base compensation, and a bigger cut of streaming profits. For some reason, the GOP primary candidates held yet another debate, this time in Miami, even though the result of the party's so-called primary is a foregone conclusion. It was a predictably sloppy and deranged mess as the candidates competed to see who could be the bloodthirstiest ghoul before descending into increasingly juvenile attacks on each other. Highlights include Vivek Ramaswamy, who promised an "unhinged" performance, calling Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis "Dick Cheney in three-inch heels," and attacking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy — who is Jewish — for being a "Nazi." Nikki Haley responded by telling Vivek that he was "scum." Meanwhile, just a few miles down the road, one very indicted, very disgraced wrecking ball of an ex-president was throwing a pep rally of his own, sucking up all the oxygen in South Florida despite the GOP's best efforts to cosplay as a normal, functioning political party.

Deep in the fetid bog of the Newsmax studios, Rick Santorum emerged from his warren to weep and moan about the devastating GOP losses on election night. "You put very sexy things like abortion and marijuana on the ballot, and a lot of young people come out and vote...thank goodness that most of the states in this country don’t allow you to put everything on the ballot, because pure democracies are not the way to run a country," said Santorum, who usually is entirely irrelevant but in this moment is proving useful for voicing what most Republican politicians clearly believe but are too smart to actually articulate. The GOP doesn't actually believe in democracy, the will of the people, or freedom for ordinary working Americans.

Unfortunately for all us, Minnesota Chief Justice Natalie Hudson ruled that actually there's nothing in the rulebook that says a candidate who committed insurrection can't keep running for office. It was always a Hail Mary for Democrats to One Weird Trick their way into kicking Trump off the ballot, but as Michael Scott famously once said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. – Wayne Gretzky." GOP proposal to expel Palestinians faces Democratic backlash
Somehow, the proposal by a GOP congressman to expel ALL Palestinians from the country — a horrendously racist call for explicit ethnic cleansing — received only modest coverage in the media. One moderate, pro-Israel Democrat is seeking to change that. Rep. Greg Landsman is preparing a bill to censure former Trump crony Ryan Zinke for his disgusting remarks and has called on members of both parties to support his bill. "There is some rhetoric that is just dangerous and will lead to violence. Whether it's a Republican saying it or a Democrat saying it, you have to push back," Landsman said. "It's going to get more people hurt."
