*TOPEKA* – Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 7 appointments and 3 reappointments to the following state boards and commissions.
*_911 Coordinating Council_*_
_Purpose: To monitor the delivery of 911 services, develop strategies for future enhancements to the 911 system and distribute available grant funds to PSAPS.
* Michael Daniels, Gardner__
* Doug Ritter, Meade
*_Kansas Animal Health Board
_*Purpose: To act as an advisory board to the Livestock Commission.
* Megan Potter, Abilene (reappointment)__
* David Worrel, Andover (reappointment)__
* Tara Dillow, Erie__
*_Board of Examiners in Optometry
_*Purpose: To administer and enforce the provisions of Kansas Optometry Law so that the highest quality of eye care is provided to the citizens of Kansas.
* Dr. Philip Walters, McPherson__
* Dr. Dawn Bircher, Overland Park (reappointment)
*_Capitol Preservation Committee
_*Purpose: To approve all proposals for renovation of all areas of the state capitol, the capitol's visitor center and the grounds surrounding the capitol.
* Joe Brentano, Kansas City
* Anthony Hensley, Topeka
*_Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns
_*Purpose: The Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns’ (KCDC) vision is that all people with disabilities are entitled to be equal citizens and equal partners in Kansas society
