Friend, we're getting reports from our centers that the demand for homeless services is spiking. Can we count on you to make a VOA donation now?

I hope you can spare time to respond before closing this email. As a deep-rooted, community-based organization, your donated dollars to VOA go right to work to help local families and others get back on their feet. Thank you, again, for all you do.

Friend,

I hope your year is going well! As part of our VOA community I can’t thank you enough for being with us. When supporters like you stepped up with a donation this past year, that generosity made the difference for the hungry child, the homeless veteran, the disabled senior, and 1.5 million other people that Volunteers of America served in the heart of America’s communities last year.

It’s what rescued Tanya from homelessness.

Just last spring, Tanya huddled under blankets with her children on the porch of an abandoned house, the glow of sunrise their only source of heat. Tanya felt extra ashamed this particular morning. It was her daughter’s high school graduation, and what should have been a happy moment was eclipsed by fear, hunger and uncertainty.

It only takes one donation to change a life like Tanya's. With care and training from VOA, Tanya secured permanent housing, and as a result, restored her own dignity. She became the type of parent that she knew her kids deserved.

In the past weeks, thousands of people have gotten help from our VOA centers and programs nationwide. We expect thousands more in the coming weeks, and we really need your support.
A gift of $50 or $100 will go far. Even $10, or whatever you can afford, will support neighbors in crisis with necessities like shelter, meals and counseling. Can I count on you?

Gratefully,

Mike King, President and CEO
