On December 4, 2023, join Outright International, LGBTIQ activists, and allies from around the globe for our 9th Annual OutSummit.

Every year, around Human Rights Day (December 10), Outright convenes OutSummit: a conference to advance the human rights and inclusion of LGBTIQ people everywhere. OutSummit is where people from across civil society, government, philanthropy, and business come together to strategize and build momentum to accelerate change for LGBTIQ people. This year’s OutSummit will be hybrid, with limited in-person participation in Washington, D.C., and virtual participation.

This year, OutSummit is focused on critical issues of our time and their impact on our global communities. Panelists and participants will bring together our collective experience and brainpower to address topics like:
* Why and how are the global culture wars increasingly targeting trans people—and how can we counter the hate by promoting inclusive laws and positive, affirmative narratives?
* LGBTIQ people are too often left out of economic development. What can we as a movement do to ensure LGBTIQ communities are not left behind?
* At least 50 countries will hold elections in 2024. At a time of democratic backsliding, how can we limit the violence and harassment that accompany too many election cycles and ensure that LGBTIQ people can participate equitably in the democratic process?
* And more!

At OutSummit, you will convene with like-minded LGBTIQ human rights defenders and allies the world over who share a common goal: to fight so that every LGBTIQ person can live with dignity and free from violence and discrimination.
