Building green infrastructure such as solar panels and offshore wind is necessary work to move us away from fossil fuels that pollute our planet. We are seeing workers enter the clean energy economy in unprecedented numbers.
Sign if you agree: The clean energy economy must be unionized
At ALIGN, we are bringing labor unions into climate movements so that workers won’t get left behind in our transition to a green economy. We fought for and won gold star labor standards in major climate policies last year, including in the Build Public Renewables Act.
Union jobs outperform non-union roles in pay, benefits, and workplace safety—earning 20% more than their non-union counterparts, on average. By organizing for higher compensation, job stability, and training, unions also narrow racial and gender wealth gaps.
Sign if you agree: The clean energy economy must be unionized
As urgency grows to reduce emissions and clean up our air and water, and working people increasingly demand our fair share of the profits, we must build a clean energy economy that ensures a promising future for all.
In solidarity,
