Democracy Defender,

Together, we did it. Last night, pro-democracy candidates won significant victories in Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Jersey and more. We got closer than ever in Mississippi, and we’re gearing up for Louisiana later this month.

The pro-democracy majorities that we helped turn out to the polls delivered a clear message: We believe in Democracy, and we trust pro-democracy candidates. We embrace voting over chaos.

Let's take a day to appreciate what we accomplished together: After last night, personal liberty is Constitutionally protected in Ohio. Kentuckians continue to have a strong leader as their Governor. Virginia has safe majorities in BOTH chambers of their state legislature to out-vote Youngkin’s MAGA designs. In Pennsylvania, the winning went far down the ballot to local rejection of MAGA school boards and a reinforcement of the First Amendment over book bans, not to mention that the all-important Supreme Court remains in pro-democracy hands.

Our message and our methods work. These victories demonstrate just how powerful our work is, together. And MAGA Republicans are learning that we are here to defend democracy, polls be damned.

As we move toward the 2024 elections, let's dedicate ourselves to taking the next huge step: ending MAGA chaos in the House of Representatives and defending our slim majority in the Senate.
