Dear John,

If you were keeping up with elections last night, there were significant losses nationwide: Virginia lost majority control in the house, and Ohio enshrined abortion into its constitution. These are heartbreaking setbacks, but they are following a consistent pattern.

What we can learn from last night’s losses:

Pro-life candidates are consistently outspent on ads featuring the issue of abortion.

Though polling shows abortion as a low priority to voters, pro-abortion candidates are using the issue as their focal message.

Pro-abortion candidates are using fear-mongering propaganda to mislead voters into thinking that women will die without full access to abortion at any time during pregnancy for any reason. It’s simply not true.

We cannot sit back and watch the same fate fall on Oregon in the 2024 election.

Oregon Right to Life is the Northwest’s largest and most influential organization dedicated to ending the injustice of abortion. Our Political Action Committee (ORTL PAC) [[link removed]] focuses on electing and equipping pro-life individuals with the right resources to enact laws that protect life.

I’m going to be vulnerable here for a minute, John. Right now, we don’t have the money to support pro-life candidates the way we want to in 2024.

Would you be willing to donate $250, $500, or even $1000 toward electing pro-life candidates to office across the state? [[link removed]] Oregon Right to Life PAC is the only organization in the state focused on electing candidates who will protect mothers and their unborn babies. We must set up our candidates for success, but we cannot do it without your support.

Because everyone deserves an advocate,

Sharolyn Smith

Political Director

P.S. Every dollar counts, whether it’s $5 or $500, we need your support to protect babies and their families in Oregon.

P.P.S The Oregon Political Tax Credit allows most individual tax filers to give up to $50 to a qualified political committee – most joint-filing couples can give up to $100 – and receive every penny back when they file their Oregon tax return.
