John,
Hi, it’s Jane Fonda. I am reaching out with some exciting news – thanks to your support, our endorsed candidates in key races across the country are now on their way to elected office.
Here are some highlights:
➡️ In Virginia’s General Assembly election, 13 out of 14 of our endorsed candidates won their seats! As a result, Virginia Democrats now hold a majority in both the House and State Senate. This is a major win for protecting climate progress in Virginia and a major rebuke of Glenn Youngkin and the GOP’s plan to undermine progress on abortion, education, and voting rights.

➡️ In San Diego, Monica Montgomery Steppe became the first Black Woman elected to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.
➡️ In Minneapolis, Katie Cashman won the Minneapolis City Council Ward 7 race by 177 votes in the second & final round of ranked-choice voting.
➡️ In Pennsylvania, 4 of the Luzerne United slate for County Council were elected. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the county council has avoided a worst-case scenario of complete GOP control.

I am exceedingly grateful to all of our candidates and their campaign teams for running such incredible races, in many cases against tough odds. In my time working with candidates here at the PAC, I’ve learned it takes a special kind of person to weather the storms that come with campaigning, and I hope you’ll join me in thanking them.
Last but certainly not least, I want to thank you.
Without you, we would not be able to provide the level of support that we do for our climate champions.
To everyone who contributed or volunteered their time, I hope you know how impactful your support truly is. Because of you, millions of people in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and California now have representatives, senators, councilmembers, executives, and supervisors who will fight for a livable future for all their communities.
And in many ways, we’re just getting started. I look forward to working with you in the next chapter of our work.
Onward,
Jane Fonda

P.S. While today is a day to celebrate, our work isn’t done. With 2024 just around the corner, some of our most important work is ahead of us. Can you make a $10 contribution today to help us keep up the momentum?
