I’m the proud daughter of an Air Force veteran and an early childhood education teacher. My parents instilled in me the belief that with opportunity comes responsibility and that through public service I could help others and make a difference.

I attended UNC-Chapel Hill for law school, worked as a civil rights lawyer, and helped pass the South’s first anti-racial profiling law and reforms to the state’s juvenile justice laws.

I served in the North Carolina General Assembly for a decade where I worked to protect voting rights, fund transit and transportation projects, increase access to affordable housing, and protect and expand healthcare.

In 2020, I became the first Democrat in over a decade to be elected to represent North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional district. I’ve fought for my community my entire career and will continue to work with anyone to get things done. That’s how 11 pieces of legislation I introduced have been signed into law, increasing funding for sexual assault nurse examiners, enhancing judicial ethics and transparency, and bolstering North Carolina's offshore wind energy potential.

I’ve returned over $20 million back to seniors, veterans, small business owners, and other Wake County residents and in my first term secured $30 million in federal funding for Wake County community projects.

We have accomplished so much together, but there is still so much left to do. I intend to win this seat again and continue delivering real results for the people of Wake County and North Carolina.

Will you add your name to officially endorse my re-election campaign? I’m counting on you personally to join us and build this grassroots campaign to protect this seat and help me elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024.
