Last night, real freedom won across Pennsylvania, John.

In a critically important Pennsylvania Supreme Court race, Dan McCaffery won, maintaining Democrats’ majority on our Commonwealth’s highest court and ensuring we can protect our democracy and our fundamental freedoms for years to come.

In Philadelphia, Cherelle Parker was elected Mayor, which will make her the first Black woman in history to lead the city.

And in Allegheny County, Sara Innamorato won her race for County Executive, ensuring that Western PA voters will be represented by an effective leader who knows exactly how to deliver results for working families — and becoming the first female County Executive of Allegheny County.

It’s clear: voters rejected extremism and defended real freedom across the Commonwealth last night.

But I also know these elections won’t be the end of our fight — and as long as extremists are still trying to restrict Pennsylvanians’ rights, I’ll continue to roll up my sleeves and defend real freedom with everything I’ve got.
